A college-ruining lawsuit
Organized by: Katie Gundlach
This past year, I suffered an apartment fire, and lost nearly everything I owned. I had lived in the apartment for less than twenty four hours when the stove, which hadn't been replaced in over ten years by the owner, caught fire. Because I had a box of pots and pans on the stove, the owner's insurance is suing me for 11,000.... DAYS after I got my acceptance letter from the only college I could afford. I have been trying to change my life, I'm trying to support my disabled girlfriend... Please help me. I'm not asking you to support my destroyed personal possessions or my rent, only enough to settle the lawsuit. If I don't come up with this money, I will not be able to get a college degree and pursue my dreams. I don't know what else to do; I've never asked for money before in my life, but I really, really need your help. If 44 of you donate 250$, I'll have it! I can go to college! If 88 of you donate 125! If 110 give 100$, or 400 people do 27.50... This is all I have ever wanted, and I can't fight this insurance company and win. I don't own my car, I rent an apartment--I don't have anything. It isn't only my college education that will suffer for this... I could lose everything again. I'll be homeless and bankrupt... Please. Please. Please. Help.
