A Faithful Friend for Jonethan
Organized by: Jaimie Nava
My son Jonethan has moderate to severe autism and it hinders aspects of his day-to-day life. He even has issues with separation anxiety, he has not slept with out one of us in almost 2 years. He also struggles with OCD like symptoms, which lead to enormous meltdowns that can lash out at family, teachers and somethimes other students. However, when Jonny is feeling good and doing well, he is loving and affectionate and I would try anything to help him make a connection with us and others, and a an autism therapy dog who could provided him that; unconditional love and friendship, safety, support and serve as a bridge to socialize with others.
Please consider helping my son and family with our quest, even if it is just to share Jonethan's story or donate even $1. An Autism support dog costs between $30,000-$40,000 to raise and train; and after raising the money and getting Jonethan on the list, it can take up 2-3 years before the dog will be ready to be placed in our home. Below is a link to the company I am wanting to apply to, if you would like to read more about the program. http://www.littleangelsservicedogs.org/autisimassistance.html
Thank you for your time,
Jonny's Mom (Jaimie)
