A Chance To OWN the house!!!
October 13, 2017
Let me tell you about a very special family. It starts with two devoted parents who would give you the shirt off of their back. Kate and Mike are a hard-working, loving couple who had two children when I first met them in 2006. Their family grew by leaps and bounds when they found out they were expecting their third biological child, and opened their hearts and home to their two nieces and nephew. They went from a family of 4 to a family of 8! With love in their hearts and a fighting spirit, Kate and Mike were able to adopt all 3 siblings 4 years ago. When I talk to Katie, she is so full of love and such a proud mom. And she should be! She and Mike have instilled a deep sense of global responsibility and service into their six children. Every year they volunteer their time for Toys for Tots as a family, and the 4 oldest children proudly serve in the young marines. Many have been touched by their kindness and generosity over the years. This time, it is the Sears Family who are need of a helping hand. This year has been a difficult one, as the house they had been renting for the last 11 years was no longer available. The family sought options, but were unable to find an affordable rental on the Cape. In order to keep their jobs and to keep the kids in their schools, the family has been camping on the Cape for the summer and fall. The weather is getting colder, and the family will need to move in to cramped space with family in the near future. Donations would augment their budget, to allow the family to move into a year round rental or to assist with the purchase of permanent housing. Every little bit helps!
