THE STORY:

On a March morning, a neighbor approached me with a 9 month old Chihuahua. She had suffered a "suspicious" blow to her hind leg. Although sh didn't make a sound I could see it was a Serious fracture. The broken bone had broken through The skin and had begun to abscess. He said he did not have the funds to help his dog. His choice was to kill her. I jumped up and pleaded. "Please allow me to take her! " "I will find help." I got her to a vet hospital and made arrangements to have her saved. It was not without a Great expense! ChiChi was nursed back to health over the next 6 months.
Cones, bandages, Meds and therapy were a daily ritual.
She was so sweet and brave! The day came to remove the last stitches and we were so happy.
The following day we were in our front yard and a speeding vehicle lost control and ran up into the front yard striking ChiChi. As she was thrown through the yard I dropped to my knees and screamed. The truck backed up and tore away leaving a trench and a precious helpless family member lying still.I grabbed a sheet wrapped her and raced to the nearest vet hospital. The truck had left her in shock and bleeding internally. After x-rays and test we found she had lost the feeling in her front shoulder and could not use her leg. It took months of daily therapy to try and repair the nerves and muscles in her right shoulder and leg. After 10 long weeks she began to chew on the right foot letting us know it had died. Another surgery lie ahead for ChiChi.
I remember picking her up and dying just a little inside to see almost half of her torso had been removed.
I can't remember one time when I heard Chichi cry. I know there must've been paying but what a trooper she was I'm proud to say that she's made full recovery and she gets by on three legs better than most dogs on for however it's left me with some outrageous bills!
I am asking crowdrise for help.
This dog, my family member brings joy to many children and elderly citizens. We visit children's hospital often to show children who have lost limbs that life goes on and happiness can be obtained please help us fund the bills for Chichi so that she can continue to make others happy thank you so much
