BENEFITING: DRAGONFLY FOUNDATION
The Dragonfly Foundation provides support to young patients, siblings/offspring and parents/caregivers – as well as direct support to social workers, Child Life representatives, and hospital staff that care for patients while they are in the hospital. The support comes in the form of Caring, Community, and Awareness that results in better Emotional health (C.A.R.E.).
Morgan is an 18-year-old teen diagnosed with Wilms Tumor Disease. Before her diagnosis, Morgan worked at King’s Island, was a thrower in track and field, and participated in her school's yearbook, drama club, and community service class. Young patients, like Morgan, are often not prepared to cope with side effects of cancer treatment, which include hair loss, weight gain and more. Through Dragonfly’s many programs, patients learn how to handle body changes and families learn how to find joy along the cancer journey, as impossible as it may seem.
We are on a mission to help The Dragonfly Foundation. Our goal is to raise $500 to support programs that help young cancer patients maintain their self-esteem and protect their self-image!
