BENEFITING: TESTICULAR CANCER SOCIETY
EVENT DATE: Jun 21, 2016
Testicular cancer is the leading cause of cancer in men ages 15-34. My plan is to ride my bicycle around this route for twelve hours straight. I'll be looking to drum up donations to the Testicular Cancer Society. I've set the date as Tuesday, June 21, 2016, the longest day of the year. Please donate generously to the Testicular Cancer Society. Pledge per mile or per lap. Or even pledge per banana I eat during the ride. The ride takes place in Rockford, Illinois, on Auburn street, just west of the Rock River. The route is only a few blocks from my home. I started liking that route after the intersection of Main street and Auburn street, on the western end of the route, was updated with a round-about. This made it easy to turn around and make the route a continuous one. I thought it would be nice to spend a whole day riding the route. And from that thought I started to think making it into a fund raising ride for a charity would be good. Viewing the route on a map made it easy to decide on a charity.
