A Network Engineer Effort to Seek Help to Live
Organized by: Daniel Schwartz
I am a certified Network Engineer, with many years experience, 8 years of College. I have many certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCDST, Cisco Specialist, A+, Security+)
Due to a near death, devastating, heart attack, and 10 days in Intensive Care Unit, I lost my full time work contract, in 2011.
I have struggled since 2011, to keep working, as an "Independent Contractor".
I am slowly losing my home, for unpaid morgage payments & unpaid property taxes.
I recovered from the heart attack, but I am now confronted with two more chronic diseases(Kidney disease and Liver disease), and even showing symptoms of colon cancer.
I am seeking help to treat these life threatening diseases.
I am presently in need of a "Colonoscopy", kidney treatment, and liver treatment.
I have an entire body rash, that itches 24/7, has itched for years;
making sleep impossible, most of the time.
My only treatment, at present, is, self treatment;
I was hospitalized most of 2014 & 2015; and even had to stay in a nursing home, to treat a MSSA Staph infection, that ate a hole completely through my pelvis.
It was a very long recovery, with multiple complications.
I was unable to work, and keep up property taxes.
In short, I will be homeless soon, unless I get help.
I could work part-time, now, but I am a "Field Engineer" , requiring dependable transportation, and a stable place to live.
My car is unregistered, past due inspection.
I am forced to drive it anyway.
Chronic diseases make it impossible to work full time.
I am unable to pay co-pay after medicare, on all these diseases.
I have been out of work so much, I am in danger of losing my house over delinquent property taxes, that are mounting daily. Losing the house would render me homeless, in effect, bringing an end to my life.
I reached out with this fundraiser.
I reached out to my neighborhood.
My family is helping, but they can't do it all.
I seek work every day, but it is not enough, either.
This is what I am preparing for now:
Making my transition to the next experience; The "Afterlife".
