We did it!

BENEFITING: VT Friends of AMBUCS
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2017
Steven is a 21 year old special needs boy that loves (like any boy his mental age would) riding his bike. Steven with his physical prohibitions is unable to keep a two wheel bike steady enough to ride it. Steven has autism and a mitochondrial disorder that effects his feet and ankles which bow in and make it difficult doing normal day to day things like riding traditional bikes. We just found out about these bikes made specifically for special needs people and took him to get fitted. Unlike spending $100 on a new bike Steven's is going to cost $700. Steven loves to spend his days outside riding his bike around the yard but his current tricycle is not meant for someone his size and is not an easy task. He will stay out until you make him come inside. This bike would enhance his ability to actually ride and he would get to ride with his niece and nephews. He would be so thrilled. We are asking for help in being able to get this bike for him. Rae Dunican (his mother) and myself Melissa Lagerstedt, (his sister) are in charge of this and feel free to contact with any questions!
