BENEFITING: ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION
Alzheimer's Disease is a form of dementia that affects over 5 million Americans, including my Father. It's a horrible condition that involves memory loss and impaired cognitive ability. The progression of this disease ultimately leads to a loss of awareness of surroundings, recognition of people (even a spouse), and an inability to perform even the most ordinary daily tasks such as dressing, eating, or flushing a toilet. Unfortunately, the prospect of a cure for this terrible disease is too late for my Father, but with further research millions of others could be spared the pain and suffering that he and my family have endured. In addition to funding research for a cure, The Alzheimer's Association funds support groups, counseling, and education for family and caregivers of Alzheimer's victims, providing them with the skills needed to enable their loved ones to live out their days in comfort and dignity. Please help me in donating and supporting this charitable organization and support the millions of people and families who struggle with this illness daily.
