BENEFITING: AFRICAN AMERICAN FIREFIGHTER MUSEUM
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2012
On Behalf of the Board of Directors Of the African American Firefighter Museum, I invite you to join us for our 15th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the City Club on Bunker Hill.
The African American Firefighter Museum has been completely volunteer driven since opening it's doors on December 13, 1997. Your generous sponsorship of this year's Gala Dinner will help us achieve our $100,000 fundraising goal for capacity building, capital improvements, digitizing our archives and expanding our educational programs.
During the Gala, we will recognize the following individuals for their long-time support of our mission to collect, conserve and share the heritage of pioneering African Americans in the fire service: Jan Perry, L.A. City Councilwoman; Bob Blake, Bob Blake and Associates. Additionally, we will celebrate two colleagues who have achieved historic " firsts" in the firefighting profession: L.A. City Fire Chief Doug Berry and L.A. Co. Fire Chief Daryl Osby.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and support for the preservation of this important cultural institution.
