Abigail's Work with International Justice Mission
Organized by: Abigail Hohenstreet
After years of preparation, my dream of joining operations combatting the Problem of Evil has finally become a reality. I've been selected to work in IJM's Institute for Biblical Justice and I'm stationed in Washington D.C. for the summer! (http://www.ijm.org)
Oh friend, I need your prayers and fiscal support to serve in this capacity. No man is an island, not one step of the journey thus far has been accomplished alone, and I'm very excited to invite you to join me in being the hands and feet of Jesus to so many suffering people who need our help. Our teamwork will make a difference!
WHAT IS THIS ALL REALLY ABOUT? SHOULD I GIVE?
I'll be directly involved in the fight against, prevention of, and recovery from atrocities like human trafficking, modern slavery, and heinous sexual exploitation of women and children. Please join me in advocating for the world's marginalized and oppressed; choose to fund my research that explores how to bring freedom and real help through effective collaboration of governmental entities, nongovernmental organizations, and churches!
My particular role is within IJM's Think-and-action Tank. Our goal is to assist and mobilize global leaders in overcoming injustices as they face the big issues of our time. We do this in four ways:
1) Cultivate passion for justice in the hearts of powerful influencers as they make decisions within the global Christian community, equipping them with information, resources, and practical tools; we have a particular emphasis on learning from and supporting leaders from the Majority ("Global South”) world.
2) Share the message of biblical justice through forums.
3) Create exceptional educational materials.
4) Provide in-depth theological support to IJM staff globally.
Thank you so much, dear friends!!!
