THE STORY:

In rural communities where opportunities are scarce and unemployment rates are high, older generations place an immense emphasis on the welfare and education of children. Many of these communities lack the resources needed to build better infrastructure for a bright future of academic excellence. We believe a strong foundation based on community development, youth empowerment, and education allows them to create an atmosphere that embodies vast opportunity. This Spring, we plan to work together with members of a small, unified, rural community to construct educational facilities for a positive learning environment. We hope that through strong, direct service and close community interaction we are able to have a positive, sustainable impact and are able to contribute to the continued empowerment of the community.

Mission: By immersing ourselves in the social justice issues of community development, youth empowerment, and education and through effective communication we hope to leave a tangible impact on El Cidral through the resource of a computer lab.

Vision: To develop aware, active individuals that leave lasting impact on the communities we work with in the forms of personal connections and youth empowerment.
