BENEFITING: Abriendo Mentes
EVENT DATE: Oct 24, 2011
HOURS PLEDGED: 80
This Fall I will be working at Abriendo Mentes as their Social Media and Communications Intern. Abriendo Mentes, part of the Guanacaste Literacy Program, teaches ESL and computer literacy to rural residents of Playa Potrero, Costa Rica. As the Social Media and Communications Intern, I will educate the public about the program, its impact and future initiatives.
The internship is unpaid and my living expenses are coming out of my minimal savings account. (If you know me you know how minimal that is.) To help offset the costs of volunteering with Abriendo Mentes, I am asking for donations. If I can raise $1500, my two month internship won't be an expense, making me a very, very happy intern.
I promise to take many photos of birds, beaches and bugs.
