A brother for Jaxon
Organized by: Laura Lofton
Those of you who know us, know that we don't like to ask for help. But we have been humbled by the adoption process that is ahead of us and know that this miracle will likely not end up with us if we don't ask for help. We have been VERY blessed to have this opportunity be presented to us. We have heard so many grueling adoption stories that can last for years, so for that, we know we are insanely lucky to not be part of that population. JR and I like to joke that all of our "good luck" was put toward Jaxon (who just turned 4!). He is our perfect miracle child and we have undying love for him... but we know there is more room in our hearts and home for another child. We are currently in a designated adoption process, which means that the birth mom and us found each other before going to an agency. So while this eliminates a lot of headache and heartbreak, the costs associated with adoption blew us away. We are faced with a situation that we may need to let this baby go to another family if we cannot come up with enough money FAST! And because our process is accelerated, we have all of the normal adoption fees due all at once, rather than being broken up. And while we know this child is worth every risk (financially and emotionally), we will not be able to pursue it further with your help. We are hoping that if any of you have the means to donate $5 or $10 that it may add up and keep this dream of ours going. If you cannot help at this time, a simple prayer or positive thought our direction would be very helpful as well. Thank you for reading this and for your support. We appreciate it more than you know.
