THE STORY:

Association For The Blind And Visually Impaired-Goodwill Industries Of Greater Rochester wrote -

For over a century, ABVI has been the only provider of comprehensive vision rehabilitation programs and services for people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired in the greater Rochester area and Finger Lakes region. At ABVI, we believe that even though everyone experiences vision loss differently, an individual can be as independent as they want to be after their diagnosis. Our services are person-centered and are designed to meet the needs of each individual, no matter their goals. Whether you are a child who needs to learn how to tie their shoes, an adult who needs to learn adaptive technology to have a successful career, or a senior who needs to learn adaptive cooking skills to stay in your home, ABVI is there to provide the training and resources. Funds raised through events like the George Eastman Museum's PhotoFinish 5k - 2016 enable us to fulfill our mission. Because of this support, individuals impacted by vision loss can have hope for the future and follow their dreams!
