A Cause for Aaron Craker

When I think of my friend Aaron, I recall romping through the wild jungles of my backyard, armed with wooden swords and BB guns, fighting off the myriad hordes of our conjured foe; the frustration and uncertainty of middle school and long conversations during which we grappled with the hopeless venture of mapping the female psyche; the late nights spent in a converted garage apartment, watching Seinfeld and discussing once again why Empire Strikes Back is clearly the best Star Wars movie. Every time one of any number of such memories returns, I am reminded of how rare a thing a life long friend is.
Today, one of my oldest and best companions, Aaron, is battling Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma as he has been for over three years. The disease, a blood born cancer which affects the lymphatic system, has been taking its tole both physically and financially as Aaron has been out of work for over six months, focusing his energy solely on treatment and recovery. Today I am writing to ask for the help of anyone who can offer it, and in any capacity no matter how small, for my friend who has not asked for the assistance of anyone throughout his fight. I am so thankful for the years of memories we have shared together, and I look forward to many more. Proceeds will go to help pay for living and treatment expenses.
Aaron and his girlfriend Connie live in San Diego where he studied graphic design. Aaron is a huge Lord of The Rings and Star Wars fan and enjoys reading science fiction, camping, going to the beach, and what he calls "adventure walks" with his border collie, Maddy :-)
