BENEFITING: ART CREATION FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN INC
EVENT DATE: Jul 21, 2014
The short story:
Over the next month I'm aiming to raise enough money to support at least one student at the ACFFC in Jacmel, Haiti for the next year. It costs $1500 to cover all physical, medical, and educational needs of one child for one year.
The long story:
The Art Creation Foundation For Children (ACFFC) is an organisation that caters for kids in the town of Jacmel, Haiti. Their mission is to teach street children art so that they have a way to support themselves in the future. The children who attend the ACFFC live in severe poverty, and rely on the organisation for all manner of needs from basic life necessities to a rounded education.
For an organisation like the ACFFC to continue doing so much good in the world, it requires a lot of funding. The ACFFC relies on donations to look after its children - it costs $1500 a year to cover complete care for one child. This covers food, water, education, medical care, art supplies, art instruction, and most additional special needs. So in comparison, it isn't much for all of that. But it's still a lot of money when you consider there are roughly 100 students attending the ACFFC.
The ACFFC are in constant need of financial help, this is just one fundraiser aiming to help one child. Because we've got to start somewhere. For more information, check out their website: http://www.acffcjacmelhaiti.com/ and please consider donating today.
