Achieving the Dream
Organized by: Maria Krueger
Part of the American Dream is to own a house with a white picket fence. I have an opportunity to buy the house my daughters and I have been renting for a year and a half. It would be the first time for me to own anything that I got on my own. I have never owned my own house and I have always rented therefore forcing us to move when the owns decided to sell the house. I am a single mom with two daughters. I work part time for the school district and take care of the 9 year old and the 19 year old. The girls and I are in love with this house and don't want to lose it. I am looking for a jump start so I will be ahead of the game. I can focus on working and making as much money as possible so I don't lose the house. My husband moved out two years ago just as the house we were renting for 13 years went up for sale. My youngest was devastated to have to move. When we found this house, we knew it was meant for us. We fell in love with it and the neighborhood. My little one changed schools and has been happier then ever before. I want to be able to show my girls that I am strong and capable of providing for them and have something that belongs to us. I want them to know that they don't have to depend on someone that always brings them down and makes them feel inadequate. $6000 would cover the house payment for 2 months allowing me to use my income to pay the other bills and buy food. We have been through so much and really could use something good in our lives.
