ACLU Mobile Justice App in Wisconsin
Organized by: SURJ MILWAUKEE
The public is demanding increased transparency and accountability of the police, but we're in a time where it's THE PEOPLE who will have to step up and provide it. The ACLU has a free smartphone app that allows users to effectively record law enforcement officers. Once the phone stops recording, the app quickly uploads a copy of the video to the local ACLU office. So it doesn’t matter what the officer or anyone does with the phone or to the recording on the phone because the video will already have been transmitted. We need this tool in the hands of everyone in Wisconsin. Please donate towards the app cost of $2800, and hopefully we can raise a little extra to support our local comrades at the ACLU.
