THE STORY

The members of Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary Club (ACRC) are proud to have AUSTIN CLUBHOUSE as our beneficiary for this year’s Sunday FUNDay!

Austin Clubhouse is an organization that serves any adult with a mental health diagnosis.  They follow a psychosocial rehabilitation model and firmly believe that recovery from mental illness is possible.  Membership to the clubhouse is entirely voluntary and free.  Austin Clubhouse engages its members in its day to day work and provides them support and resources to help them follow their goals, whether those goals are paid employment, continuing their education, or something else.  The goal of Austin Clubhouse is to be a “launching pad,” not a “landing pad” for its members.

To support this goal, we are raising money to start the ACRC SCHOLARSHIP FUND for Austin Clubhouse members.  The scholarships will be available to all members that want to obtain training from New Horizons Computer Labs in employable computer skills.   New Horizons is the #1 Microsoft national computer training center and they offer training in everything from very basic computer skills to complex software programming. 

To support this effort, we encourage you to donate to any of our three fundraising teams between March 19 and March 26 to help us reach our fundraising goal.  You may choose any of our ACRC Texas NBA Teams.  You may also join us at our main event on March 26, 2017 from 1-4pm at Waterloo Ice House (6203 N Capital of TX Hwy, Austin). We will continue our FUNraiser with there a last push -- featuring head to head, no skill, minute to win it style games.  So, join us, have a great time and help change lives in the Austin community!
