BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
ORGANIZER: American Cancer Society
May 5th marks a very significant date to my family running in this year’s Pittsburgh marathon. Our mother, Marlene Black, joined the Lord the night before last year’s marathon in the presence of her family; 5-5-12. While remaining graceful and selfless, she fought coragesouly through most of the two and a half years with uterine cancer, expecting no pity. This year, Amy, Scott, Jennifer, Tony, and Chrissy dedicate their spirit and strides to all cancer survivors and their loved ones.
All too soon, cancer impacts us most intimately again. Tony’s mother, Mary Stockham, passed away on February 27th. First diagnosed ten years ago, her breast cancer returned with unrelenting force. Tony has been an unrivaled support to Amy and her family; our hearts are heavy for the Stockham's.
There are other close family and friends we are honoring in our fundraising efforts, as well as your loved ones impacted by this wretched disease. Please share this opportunity with your contacts and consider donating as we race to remember and raise funds to reach the "finish-line" of all cancers for good!!!
