EVENT DATE: Dec 20, 2015
There are currently 125, 848 Chicagoans homeless. 20, 205 homeless students were identified by Chicago Public School during the 2014-2015 school year. Of which 87% live in overcrowded homes, 11.3% live in shelters, 1.7% live in public places like parks or temporary foster care.
Acts of Love is dedicated to providing inspiration, encouragement, nutrition, and books to many of the youth in the Chicago area and underserved communities across the country. During this holiday season Acts of Love wants to decrease the amount of youth and families in homeless shelters that may not receive a hot meal, gift, or even a smile. We want to spread love amongst the youth and their families by providing a night full of love and laughter celebrating the youth.
We need your help in making a difference in a child’s life just by showing that you care. Acts of Love is seeking volunteers and tax-deductible donations totally $100.00. We know $100.00 is not a lot of money, however it is a start. A $100.00 can provide meals and books for over 100 people during the holiday season. By donating a little we could provide a smile and inspire change in a child’s life, even if it is just for one day. What is little to most is big to some; we encourage you to join us in giving the ultimate gift, the gift of love during the holiday season.
