Adam's Autism Resource Center

My son Adam has Autism. One day talking with a friend they suggested that we look into weighted blankets to help calm Adam during episodes when Adam was experiencing not feeling safe and secure. I did not even know about this resource and started learning more about resources that are available for parents with children who have Autism, developmental delays and disabilities. My goal is to start up a local resource center for parents who have children with special needs to help parents. Having a child with special needs can be overwhelming not to mention expensive and if you do not know what resources are out there to help then it can make you feel like you are sinking and dying at the same time. I am so grateful for the amount of support I have received in support of this concept. I have a vision and I feel that not only can I help Adam but can help countless parents who have children like my son. The saying that it takes a village to raise a child is true but in the instance of a child with Autism sometimes it takes several villages. :-)
