"When you start doubting yourself, remember how far have come. Remember everything you have face, all the battles you have won and all the fears you have overcome." Every obstacle or challenge that I have faced whether in life or sport has been a chance for growth. I have gained a valuable appreciation for the process of strenthening your body and mind.
I was introduced to Team Tassy and the Run Across Haiti by my coach Matty Mo who is also participating in this years run. I immediatley jumped on board, throwing out the fear of covering 230 miles and understanding how this will enhance my inner character and appreciation for life and sport. I have been an endurance athlete most of my life. Starting out cycling, slowly picked up running and eventually moved intro triathlon. After completing various Spint, Olympic and Half Ironman distance triathlons, this past October I completed my first full Ironman triathlon in Louisville.
I truly believe everything you do defines your legacy and how your will be remembered. The RAH is not about the miles for me. The running will happen, not only becasue of the hard work I am putting in to my training but because of what's in my soul. There is something very special waiting for us at the finish line!!
What is your Why?!?!
I am looking forward to the challenge and helping the team reach their goal of $200,000.00 to help lift familes out of poverty thru good dignified job.
