BENEFITING: Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon
EVENT DATE: Aug 24, 2013
I am running the Pittsburgh Tough Mudder on August 24, 2013. Join me in financially running this race to support TRRA's Adaptive Rowing & Paddling team.
This is my FIRST EVER RACE and it will be painful, challenging and afterwards I will feel broken and beat up. Maybe then I will get a glimpse of what some of my athletes have pushed through to get to where they are today. The strength of mind and body that they have encourages me to keep my head up and press onward.
All athletes involved have a range of disabilities from various physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, visual impairments and/or hearing impairments. This year Three Rivers Rowing Association has 47 athletes on the adaptive squad! In 2012, we had 34 and in 2011, we had 26. All money from this fundraiser will go to purchase equipment and pay race fees for national competitions.
Thank you for helping our budget grow to fit our growing team and for showing your support to these brave men and women who have found a sport they love and choose to keep challenging themselves in it to get stronger, faster, healthier, and break new boundaries!!
