The Story

Did you know that $1.00 can provide a meal for a family of four? The Northeast Regional Food Bank provides up to $10 in food and services for every dollar that it receives through donations.  Your donation to Racing for Good really makes a difference!

Keep the fundraising going.  A generous individual has offered to donate up to $5,000 on a dollar for dollar match...so don't hesitate, contact your friends and double the value of their donation!!!

Use your athletic ability to reach out to people in the Adirondacks who really need your help.  The goal of Racing for Good is to raise enough funds to make a big impact on organizations that serve individuals and families who face catastrophic circumstances.

Each year, our fastest runners take home running's most unique trophies--handcrafted Adirondack bears. This year, step atop the podium and claim a bear of your own: the top 3 Racing for Good fundraisers will each earn this unique award commemorating their charitable efforts.  The deadline for fundraising for the Bear ends on Saturday 9/27 at midnight, ET.

The following organizations have been carefully selected and provide services to local folks who are facing catastrophic circumstances. The Adirondack Marathon, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the funds raised through Racing for Good will be shared with:

Volunteer Ambulance Services ensures your safety during the marathon and provides critical services for local communities throughout the year.

Adirondack Community Action Programs (ACAP) provides many critical programs that help individuals and families including After School Programs, Aging Services, Child Care, Employment and Training, Head Start/Early Head Start, and Weatherization.

The Helpers Fund regionally assists individuals and families facing catastrophic circumstances in their lives.

Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY feeds thousands of hungry people throughout Northeastern New York.  The School BackPack Program in partnership with the Food Bank is designed to meet the needs of hungry children with nutritious food over the weekends during the school year.

American Cancer Society While ACS is making progress toward a world without cancer, only with your dedication and fundraising efforts can we finish the fight against the disease.

Four - $2,000 Scholarships to four college-bound seniors in the Schroon Lake and North Warren School districts.
