Life on earth and nature is fairly balanced and equitable for most specious except human beings. We find a huge gap in standard of living of human beings accross the world. On one hand we have developed countries where citizens are affluent, whereas in some regions of the world people do not have access to basic necessities of life such as food, clothes, and home. By God's grace most of us living in this country have everything we need and more, and I think we should do what we can share it with people who are less forunate. It is said it is better to teach someone fishing rather than give them fish to eat. CORD works on a similar model where receipient of assistance learn to help themselves and others. I have been doing CORD fund raising ever since I was a little girl. Every year I look forward to this time of the year when we hold the CORD walkathon. When I imagine people in India getting basic needs met from our little contributions it brings a smile on my face. My humble request to you is to contribute whatever you can to this noble cause and help achieve or better exceed the goal of raising $350.
