THE STORY:

In 2009, the pastor of a San Salvador church shared his vision for a children's development center in the impoverished mountain side village of Guayabo, which could serve both the school and the community. It could provide nutritional, educational, social, and medical support for the children of the community and in doing so, support the parents of those children as well. Since then, the children's center has grown to provide such assistance to over 130 children. The government recently stepped in and mandated that an administration building be constructed to support the center, to include an office for a full time staff person, for record keeping of children's progress, and for teachers and Center Director to meet with the parents. They gave us the deadline of finishing this area of December 2015. Praise God that the needed $31,000 has been raised! Our next step is to add a dental clinic to supplement the medical clinic.  However, again, the government stepped in to require that the two clinics be adjacent and with separate toilets from the children's center.  So now the dental clinic needs to go where the current kitchen is, requiring construction of a new kitchen and newe toilets apart from the clinic toilets - and renovating the kitchen to accommodate a dental clinic.  All this can be done for just $50,000.  Can you help us reach that goal and provide crucial services to these children and their parents?  Please be sure to designate your gift to the "Guayabo CDI Center Dental Clinic"
