Adolph's desperate walk
Organized by: Adolph Chavez
I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and was forced on to medicare. The medication that i was on that helps me walk and keeps me out of a wheelchair, medicare does not cover it. I have been paying 2,100 dollars every 4 weeks for it. My money started runnning out so my doctor put me on infusions so that medicare would help me pay for it because an infusion is considered a procedure. I had several bad reactions to the drugs over the last 6 months and finally am on one that is starting to work but now i am broke and the amount that i have to pay for each infusion is 900 dollars and i get an infusion once a month. These infusions help me to be able to walk and helps to keep my pain under some control. Unless i can come up with some money fast my doctor is goig to stop the infusions. I have work most of my life since i was 13 years old paying into social security and medicare since i started working until i was forced to stop working 4 years ago. As soon as i became Medicare eligible my medical insurance canceled me. I have never in my life had to ask for help until now and it doesn't feel very good but i am very desperate to stay out of a wheelchair. Thanks for your help and time and consideration.
