THE STORY:

ADOPT A School

A Bigfamily, Inc. has identified several schools that lack school basics, stationery, desks and chairs. The students at these schools have to do without because of the plight of the local conditions economically. They go to school in shifts in order to accommodate students.

The shortage of classrooms has made children to learn under trees in the heat of the African sun. We have a long order from many listing the items they need and from this list we will ask businesses and groups of individuals who can sponsor an entire school.

Our Goal:

Our desire is to have schools that have enough resources that can empower all students who are willing to learn and make the best of the opportunities they get. We want the student to have a platform were they can compete with the rest of the world.

We also want to introduce the use of computers to the children and provide a familiar ground for them to keep up with technology. Given the situation on the ground, taking care of the children in the school has now become vital, than we can express in words.

In her own words, a brilliant student from Zimbabwe said,

“I have no doubt about my brains but the computer was a monster when I came to the U.S. I had never used a computer to do school assignments. I was fortunate to have professors that helped me in my first semester by allowing me to submit my essays handwritten.
