Please join us as we kick-off our 2nd annual fundraising event for Chikumbuso on Feb 21st! Our Team is adopting this very special young man, and hope you will help. (Gift is the one in the black t-shirt, featured in this picture with the bike we gifted him last year). You can donate online, or stop by anytime 9:30am - 12:00pm to help raise the money we need to send him to school for 2015! This event is open to the public, $10+ donation suggested at the door. We will be running mini-workouts starting every half hour for a donation at the door, plus will have Chikumbuso bags and items for sale.
Chikumbuso is a grassroots project in Ng’ombe, Zambia, that provides provides free schooling for children, as well as income generating activities and community building programs to the women most in need in the township.
You may think that a fitness program is supposed to be all about effecting change in your life and your body - and it is! Interestingly, shifting attitude away from oneself to the broader community, “to do for others” has profound impact on well-being. The positive changes we contribute to through our interactions, be it local or more globally, have a direct correlation to our health and fitness.
As part of the Fitnostics Team, you will be adopting Gift Banda, a 14 year-old in Ng’ombe, and your contribution will provide him with fundamental necessities like daily meals and education. Our goal is to raise atleast $600 to cover these expenses for the next year.
