BENEFITING: LOS ANGELES FIRE DEPARTMENT FOUNDATION
Los Angeles City Fire Station 42 is located on Colorado Blvd. in the wonderful Eagle Rock community. The members at Fire Station 42 are the first to respond to an emergency call at a residence or business in the area. With 85% of emergency calls being medical, the men and women at Fire Station 42 provide daily life-saving support to local residents, businesses and visitors. The firefighters and paramedics at Fire Station 42 are ready to respond when needed 24-hours a day 365 days a year.
We, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, have been made aware of the first responders at Fire Station 42 needing new equipment and resources for their station, including an ice machine, BBQ and exercise equipment. These items need to be replaced because they have stopped working, are worn out and/or are outdated. Since the firefighters and paramedics live at the station for 24-hour shifts, it is extremely important that the station is fully equipped and functioning.
Unfortunately, the city’s budget does not include funds to cover the cost of these items. As a result, in order to update the needed equipment for the fire station to make it sustainable, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is asking for your support. We are asking community members and businesses to consider making a donation, in any amount, through the Foundation’s Adopt-a-Fire-Station Program. Individuals and business owners can choose to make a one-time donation in any amount or they can also choose to adopt Fire Station 42 to provide regular, long-term support.
The firefighters and paramedics at Fire Station 42 are always available for the community. Therefore, we are asking Eagle Rock to show their support and appreciation to Fire Station 42 by making a donation towards their needed equipment.
Thank you in advance for your support!!
