Finding out our only son had Down syndrome was at first devastating. We were overwhelmed with thoughts of his future but quickly learned that getting him involved in early intervention and therapies would give him the best start he needed. As Bennett approached the age of 3, we needed to decide what type of school would be best for his needs and we wanted a place that would provided him with the best education to get him prepared for a public school transition. By no accident, we came across The Frankie Lemmon School.
Frankie Lemmon is a TUITION FREE, full day preschool program for children with developmental delays. The school is unique in its focus on communication skills and personal independence. We couldn't be more pleased with how far Bennett has come in the last 2 years being at Frankie Lemmon. His speech has increased tremendously, and his social skills as well as his feeding issues have dramatically improved.
This school means so much to us and while it may be Bennett's last year, we want to help raise money for this campaign because there are so many children that can benefit from this wonderful school but space is limited right now. We're hoping that by raising more money, more space will become available, therefore more children can be reached.
We hope that you would help us in this effort by supporting this very special school that has helped our son in so many ways and know that in the future it will brighten the lives of so many other children.
