Alpha Epsilon Pi Rock-A-Thon is our biennial philanthropy benefitting the American Cancer Society that we hold in downtown Columbia, where we set up a stage on Broadway. We elect a brother to be rocker, which is one of the biggest honors in the house, and this rocker will sit in a rocking chair on the stage for 63 uninterrupted hours while the rest of the brothers of AEPi go out and ask for donations.
We are the second-largest single-event Greek philanthropy in the country, having raised over $300,000 over our last three events in 2015, 2013, and 2011, with our record breaking year of 2015 where we raised $132,000. We are proud to be able to represent Alpha Epsilon Pi at the University of Missouri while benefitting such a great organization like the American Cancer Society. This year, our efforts will go towards the research of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is a cancer that starts in cells called lymphocytes, which are part of the body’s immune system. For more information on this and other information on cancer and cancer treatments, go to cancer.org or follow us on Facebook at @AEPiRockAThonMU. Look forward to seeing you all out and about from April 27-29 in downtown Columbia for AEPi Rock-A-Thon 2017.
