BENEFITING: ADVOCATES FOR ADOLESCENT MOTHERS
EVENT DATE: Mar 30, 2014
Advocates for Adolescent Mothers is competing in the Bank of America's 2014 Shamrock Shuffle to raise money for our antipoverty mission! This is our second year and we're very excited, especially because this year, we are also celebrating our 5th anniversary! We learned a lot about training and fundraising, and we're looking forward to applying everything we learned this year. Running the Shamrock Shuffle was a great experience! We're going to keep you posted of our progress every step of the way!
Advocates for Adolescent Mothers is committed to empowering young parents by providing them with the tools, resources, and support needed to break the cycle of poverty, establish prosperity, and prevent child abuse. Our vision is to become internationally recognized as the epicenter of the antipoverty movement responsible for the alleviation of poverty and establishment of prosperity among thousands of families headed by young parents.
Our programs include the Educational Empowerment Program through which we provide a grant and mentoring to young moms in college and our Holiday Drive, which provides toys and outerwear to homeless and underprivileged young moms and children at Christmas. We also advocate for young parents through our research, such as our Teen Parent Stable Housing Study.
Please support our mission and efforts by making a tax-deductible donation. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in joining our team or would like additional information.
