YILMEH ACADEMY wrote -"African students need school desks" We are raising 3 thousand dollars for an elementary school located in one of the most remote and impoverish farming community in Liberia, West Africa. The money will go to purchasing chairs and desks for students to be able to sit down in reasonable comfort as well as have solid surfaces on which they can write. This may seem like a non-issue, but most of these students are used to sitting on long benches with no back support for hours, and are forced to use their laps as desks. Studies show the strain improper seating has on ones work effort, health, and retention. Having proper desks and chairs allows students the basic minimum to do their work and retain their lessons. As the founder of the school, I have dedicated myself to financially funding the school with my own monies. I try my best, but some of our school’s needs exceed what I can contribute. Your donation and contribution in helping to raise this amount is highly appreciated. And the children of the school thank you very much.
