Aveson has educated all the Quishenberry girls from grades 4, 2, and K, respectively. From Drew's early foray into creative spelling on her kindergarten writing projects, to her lastest thought provoking, collegiate-level paper on equality, these girls have been challenged by their advisors and teachers to participate in the world through global skills acquisition for the 21st century. We're so proud of our ladies and want to give back to the Aveson community. Here's how you can help:
Our school is fundraising through a spelling bee. Our on-stage high-school team speller and the girls' literacy advisor of many years, Mr. Gloyd (disguised as Magnum P.I. from the golden age of Television) will be taking on crazy vocabulary words and tough Aveson competitors as we, his team, support him (some of us may be the Charlie's Angels roller derby team. Just sayin').
The funds we raise for our team will go directly to supporting Aveson's Personalized Learning--meaning small classes and dynamic curriculum focused on each of the Q girls' and their schoolmates' needs and interests. Help us raise the funds we need to provide this exemplary education AND help our spelling bee team WIN this competition. The more dollars we raise, the more lifelines or "cheats" we can buy...and the Golden Age of Spell-a-vision team is going to need them!!
Thanks for supporting our school.
Oh, one more thing - I'm qualified to help our from the floor. My 8th grade teacher, Mrs. McKeone, had to throw out our spelling book and grab the dictionary as my pal Lisa and I duked it out one 8th grade spelling bee. This should be dang good...
