BENEFITING: CONCERN FOUNDATION
Chances are 1 in 2 men you know will develop cancer in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common diagnosis, afflicting 1 in 7. Join Concern Foundation’s campaign to raise awareness and funds in support of men’s cancer by growing a mustache or beard for A Growing Concern!
During the month of November, we encourage men (and women) to swear off the razor and fundraise for Concern Foundation. All of the money raised from A Growing Concern will help fund innovative and critical prostate cancer research.
Here’s how it works:
- Anyone can sign up by joining our Crowdrise campaign
- Each participant will receive his/her own fundraising webpage to personalize and send to family, friends and colleagues.
- A Growing Concern members will grow impressive moustaches and beards and post photos of their progress to boost awareness and support.
- We also encourage women to use A Growing Concern as a valid excuse to abandon leg-shaving for an entire month.
We’ll all celebrate the campaign’s success and show off our growth with a wrap party on December 3 at 6 p.m. at Goldie’s (8422 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles, 90048).
In 2014 alone, more than 230,000 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and nearly 30,000 will die from it. Together, we can work to beat these odds. Join A Growing Concern today!
