BENEFITING: PTA OREGON CONGRESS
EVENT DATE: May 26, 2011
I am writing to ask for help. We are still in need of $1995.00 by the end of April in order for Ahmed to be able to go on his eighth grade trip. We would so greatly appreciate ANY and all you would be willing to donate to him. I am thankful in advanced for all of your hearts whether you are able to help or not.
Thank you all.

Paths To Our Past is an educational tour group that takes 8th grade students (mostly from Roseway Heights) to the East Coast for a ten day trip. Students travel from Boston, MA, through New York City, Amish Country in Lancaster County, and Gettysburg, PA, Washington DC and end in Williamsburg, VA. The students attend meetings every other Monday beginning in January until we leave on a red eye flight Thursday, May 26, 2011. The meetings prepare students with the educational background of the historical sites we visit, as well as how to be safe and interact in public while away from home.
Due to many factors (rising fuel costs, the declining economy, etc), our costs have increased. The demographics of Roseway area changes more and more every year and a majority of our students are on free and reduced lunch and have different backgrounds and experiences than students from previous years. Students fundraise as much as possible to pay their way on the trip, but sometimes it is not enough.
Thank you for your support, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most students.
