BENEFITING: Chinquapin School
EVENT DATE: May 30, 2014
We are a group of students from Chinquapin Preparatory and are working to make a difference in lives of stray animals in the Highlands area. Our mission is to provide a temporary, safe and loving environment for these strays, and to reduce the number of stray animals long term by removing them before they have puppies of their own. Most importantly, we believe it is not right to let animals suffer on the streets when they are in need of help. Many of these adorable cats and/or dogs have been neglected and left to their death. They need the help of someone willing to care for them and ensure their safety. We want to be a part of the solution to this problem, but without financial support, we will not be able to accomplish this goal.
As of right now, we have had a successful car wash that helped us raise money that we used to build a shelter for dogs and/or cats. We plan to use the temporary shelter for fostering stray animals that come onto Chinquapin campus. While we foster these animals, we will also try to find them a home. Our shelter has already provided refuge for three stray puppies and one cat this year. We are close to achieving our goal, and it could be accomplished with your financial aid.
Your donation would be used pay back the money the school provided us to build the shelter and to provide the resources we need for each animal we rescue. A part of the money would be used for the pet’s health and hygiene like vaccines, shampoo, food, and any medical needs for the pets. The other portion of the money would be used for toys and warm items like blankets and beds for winter time. We need money because it costs $250+ to care for an animal. In the short time this kennel has been operational, we have found homes for 3 animals, but we're running out of funds and need contributions. Thank you for your contribution. You are allowing us to make a difference in these animal's lives.
