A House on Beekman provides a seamless series of holistic programs from birth to adulthood that empowers our neighbors in the South Bronx to create long-term change to break the cycles of poverty through incarnational relationships.
As we work towards completing our series of seamless programming, we are currently running four programs. Keep reading for program descriptions!
BABIES TO 3 was created to serve and encourage caregivers and their babies during this critical time. This program both empowers and equips caregivers to take ownership of their child’s growth and development through singing, playing, reading and learning together.
Our licensed PRESCHOOL is the link between Babies to Three and After School. For children who are three and four years old, preschool prepares them for kindergarten and beyond by fostering growth in all areas of development – academic, social, emotional and spiritual.
AFTER-SCHOOL teaches our kids to love learning, see it as an a venture of life, and that learning is not just confined to the four walls of a classroom. Students are picked up from his or her school by our staff members and brought to 390 Jackson where they will spend time playing, doing homework, and exploring and discovering new passions. This can be anything from completing science experiments, creating art, acting out stories, building machines, dancing their hearts out and so much more. Additionally, each day students come together for “family time” where they have Bible study and worship God together.
SUMMER CAMP is a place for 100 children in the South Bronx to have four weeks of learning enrichment, creative thinking, and healthy eating. They get to explore new places, serve each other, and learn in a safe and positive environment. Summer Camp runs during the month of July.
