The conflict in Syria is now the world’s worst refugee crisis in 20 years, according to the United Nations. Update: Our emergency relief team is now inside Syria at Selame Camp in the Aleppo Governorate, distributing supplies as of Friday, Sept. 13 (see their photos in the slideshow, left). We need your help fundraising so we can provide as much aid as possible. Take action with us today.*
- 6.8 million Syrians are in urgent need of aid
- 6,000 people are fleeing every day
- 4 million are without food
- 5,000 deaths occur each month
- 93,000+ deaths to date
- 46% of the displaced are children
Good Neighbors has already sent $200,000 in emergency relief funds. To date, our teams have already distributed food, water, Hygiene Kits (soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, etc.) and Baby Kits (baby bottles, baby food, diapers, etc.) to 1,250 families/6,250 people at Selame Camp. But our priority is to raise $50,000 more to reach the thousands of refugees still in need.
Syrian refugees--especially the young children--need our help. Create a fundraising page and start spreading the word to family, friends, co-workers, everyone and anyone...and/or simply donate. Let’s start sending them the aid they desperately need as soon as possible!
*You might have noticed that our CrowdRise page recently switched from a fundraiser for clean water to a fundraiser for Syrian refugees. In light of the current crisis in Syria and our commitment to emergency relief, we're now directing our fundraising efforts toward helping the Syrian refugees who need us at this time. We thank you for understanding and hope you’ll contribute to this very important effort. All previous donations will go directly to providing refugees with food, water, and tents.
