Ainsley's Angels is thrilled to help ensure Aidan can soon roll with the wind in his very own BLADE racing chair by Hoyt Racing! With your generosity, we are certain this can happen soon. As the father of two very special girls that race together with me, I know that the positive energy surrounding the start line as we prepare to be included and "roll with the wind", and the normalcy of the family, is a therapy like no other.
A message from Aidan's best friend Ivan.
Friends and family. As you all know, Aidan has a rare condition called Angelman Syndrome (AS). Although he can’t walk, speak or do many things we might take for granted, he doesn't know it. For him life consists of watching random movies and Youtube videos, eating pasta and cheeseburgers, with sporadic trips to Disneyland. He is definitely a very happy kid, a true angel sent from god to bring joy to this world. Because children with special needs spend most of their time indoors I feel it is important to find opportunities for them to socialize and see the world. One thing that I have discovered is that Aidan enjoys running with me. You should see how he gets when we run... he flaps his arms as if he were flying. I want to continue to bring joy to his life and at the same time do something that is good for him. Aidan and I have decided that we want to run the L.A. Marathon. The only problem is that his wheelchair won’t last the 26 miles, plus all of the training miles in between. He needs a super chariot and we need your help. We need to raise $4,000.00 to purchase this special chair for this very special person. The L.A. Marathon will be our first race but not our last race.
YES, YOU CAN...donate 20 or 50 dollars right now to ensure the thrill of rolling with the wind and crossing a road race finish line! Click the orange button in the upper right of this page or e-mail: AinsleysAngels@yahoo.com for a link to make a donation using PayPay and/or for a mailing address should you prefer to donate by check.
