Aid for Africa is an alliance of 85 U.S.-based nonprofits and their African partners who help children, families, and communities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Help support our grassroots programs focusing on health, education, economic development, conservation, and wildlife protection.
Each organization in the Aid for Africa alliance is dedicated to solving the complex, inter-related challenges facing Africa. We know that as effective as organizations are individually, we are even more powerful when we approach Africa’s issues together.
Here is a sample of what a $20 donation can achieve:
- Buy 52 books for school children
- Supply 10 treatments of antibiotics for sick children
- Protect 1,000 old growth trees for one year
Together our alliance members, with their partners on the ground in Africa, touch almost every aspect of the African community. Whether they are collecting and distributing books to school children, introducing medical strategies to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS, or identifying and supporting women as they start small businesses, Aid for Africa’s members have one thing in common—a passionate desire to empower the people of Africa to solve their own problems and build a better future for their children and communities.
