THE STORY:
In February 2016, two of my passions came together- running and working with children/adults with disabilities. I met the group called "Ainsley's Angels" and pushed a child with a disability in my first race with them. A few weeks later I ran a half marathon, pushing again. I have been running for over 12 years and have ran many races, but none can compare to these and the feelings that I had to run for someone other than myself. Running with Ainsley's Angels has given me a purpose for running, that exceeds any feelings that one receives from personal best, personal records, or simply finishing. I was put on this earth to work with people with disabilities, and I have never doubted that. Now, I get to use my legs/my body to help someone else reach their goals and cross that finish line. In October 2016 I will run the Marine Corps Marathon with Ainsley's Angels- a full 26.2 while pushing someone! I don't know who I will be pushing yet, but all that matters is that I will get to help someone else complete a marathon! I feel so grateful to have met this group, and I am so excited about the road ahead with them. I need your help! Please consider giving. No amount is too small- together, we can make someone's dreams of running a marathon come true! We have "miles to go" together, and I can't wait!
