BENEFITING: American Lung Association of Michigan
ORGANIZER: American Lung Association of Michigan
I'm running the Detroit Half Marathon in October, and I am running for my Mother, Debbie and for the American Lung Association. My Mom is a lung cancer and brain cancer survivor and deals with COPD everyday of her life.
Lung cancer is one of the least funded form of cancers in the United States...and unfortunately one of the most common.
Each year in the US, more than 228,000 people are diagnosed with lung cancer, and nearly 160,000 die of the disease. Lung cancer takes more lives than breast, prostate and colon cancers combined – it accounts for 27% of all cancer deaths.
Every little bit helps. F*ck cancer and F*ck COPD.
