EVENT: UCR DANCE MARATHON 2015
Kappa Sigma Riverside became colonized on May 18th, 2012 and chartered on May 19, 2013 with the purpose to make a positive difference in its members' advancement in college & life thereafter, along with benefiting the general student campus and the community for the greater good.

Based on the 4 pillars of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and 2 Riverside Sigma-Upsilon Chapter values, its goals are to excel in scholarship, make a positive impact in the community through service, promote a healthy balanced, all-around lifestyle (including academics, fitness, and social opportunities) and have professional and personal growth in its members, developing well-rounded leaders. Accordingly, it has made great strides in accomplishing these goals by building great brotherly bonds – becoming the largest chapter in Riverside in 2014 with 80+ members who are now gym partners, wingmen and study buddies. The chapter has earned improved academics results receiving the Academic Award for Above All Men's Average GPA on Campus. It has maintained in focus on fitness, consistently competing in sports and creating a culture around exercise. It has also done well to enhance members' college experience and promote social grace through social workshops and numerous social events. Most importantly, Kappa Sigma Riverside continues to make a difference through thousands of hours and countless service initiatives, including: Painting the C, Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish Foundation, Exercise 4 Veterans, Voter Registration, Awareness Campaign of ballot initiative Prop 30 to fund Education, Feed the Homeless, Adopt a Street, etc! Through it all, Kappa Sigma Riverside has developed many well-rounded leaders whose efforts extend from leadership in other organizations to public service, having had a brother serve in elected office in UCR's student government every year since its inception.

To continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others, Kappa Sigma Riverside seeks raise at least a $1,000 for the Guardian Scholars Program, which supports ambitious, college-bound students exiting the foster care system. By donating, $10, $20, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to, you are not only taking part in the creation of a legacy of difference making, but also helping better someone's life forever.
