From a Lander Alumnus...
For years, my parents have been struggling financially.
My father has been disabled for years, unable to work.
My mother works but her job pays only a negligible income.
Recently, my mother was diagnosed with cancer.
Aside from the obvious horror involved, my mother is forced to
"go on disability" to focus on treating the cancer.
While on disability, she is taking a cut in salary
and will receive only about half of her standard salary...
which isn’t much in the first place.
My struggling family is becoming financially destitute.
RCCS (Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society) is assisting them
with medical bills, which is a massive help.
But the funds they need to cover their day to day expenses
will be... well... non-existent.
Simply put, there is not even close to the amount of money
available to them to cover their expenses during this incredibly difficult time.
Zev, can you somehow raise $20,000... or at least $10,000…
for my parents so that they can maintain a somewhat
normal life during this nightmarish episode???
I wish I could give them so much of my own money...
My wife and I were actually discussing moving in with them,
so that we can turn our "would-be rent money" into our "extra income"
and then hand it to my parents.
Only we can make a difference for them. Please donate generously.
