Thank you for selecting A Leg Forever Charitable Foundation (A Leg Forever, Inc.) We are grateful for your support with helping us lift this newly formed foundation off the ground.
The Boston Marathon 2013 is where the story of JP and Paul Norden began, it is a day that tragically changed their lives forever and a day they were granted a second chance at all life has to offer them. Please allow me to share their story and the way this foundation came together.

A Leg Forever Charitable Foundation is a 501c3 Non-profit public charity established by Elizabeth (Liz) Norden of Stoneham, Massachusetts 02180.
This foundation was created to honor her two sons JP and Paul Norden, Boston Marathon Survivors, who each lost a leg in the bombings of April 15, 2013.
The mission for this foundation is to pay it forward and assist other amputees in their time of need just as JP and Paul were helped in their darkest hours.
The Boston Marathon changed the lives of many families that tragic day. Two hundred and sixty nine people were injured, 16 lost limbs and 3 lost their lives. JP and Paul Norden each lost their right legs in the 2nd explosion. JP below the knee, Paul above the knee - both brothers came close to losing their lives. JP arrived at the hospital with 1 pint of blood remaining in his body, Paul was placed in a medically induced coma for over a week until his injuries were stabilized.
The outpouring of love, prayers and support from around the world helped JP, Paul and their family battle through the days, weeks and months after the bombings...and continues to this day.
Donations from the public and the ONEFUND enabled JP and Paul to afford the best prosthetic limbs available today - and they are forever grateful to each and every donation that made this possible. Without the generosity of others the Norden brothers could have never afforded the limbs they have today.
A Leg Forever Charitable Foundation's Mission is to pay it forward and assist other amputees who have experienced limb loss from a horrific accident. They hope to spread awareness of the many challenges amputees face during their everyday lives; to educate the public on the many expenses involved with prosthetic limbs; and to assist other amputees through fundraising efforts.
Did you know prosthetic limbs range from $25,000 to $140,000 plus?
Did you know a new limb is needed every 3 to 5 years for the remainder of life?
Did you know that health insurance only covers a portion of the prosthetic and the amputee has to worry about covering the rest of the bill?
These are just a few of the issues amputees deal with day after day...and there are many, many more!
