BENEFITING: ADAMS STREET FOUNDATION INC
I am proud to announce that I have joined the Junior Board of the Adams Street Foundation (ASF) and the Urban Assembly School for Law & Justice (SLJ).
SLJ is celebrating its 10 year anniversary of educating our community's disadvantaged youth; most SLJ scholars come from low-income families, and over 90% of the SLJ have gone on to college!
In working with the ASF and SLJ on fundraising planning and strategies, I have combined my philanthropic interests with my desire to help today's youth. In addition, I am acutely aware of how important a higher education can be to establishing a more secure future.
Please help me support the next wave of students as part of: SLJ's 1,000 FUTURE SCHOLARS Campaign
For children living in poverty, a college degree matters. College graduates earn 70% more than their non-graduate peers as they begin to build their careers.
The path to college is a path out of poverty and the SLJ students need more than luck, they need our support.
The money raised goes to providing the students of SLJ with a spectrum of focused services like: academic support programs, internships, mentorships, on- and off-site extracurricular activities, pre-college summer programs, trips and guest speakers, community service opportunities, an early college awareness curriculum, and differentiated college and career advising.
